Nordic Ecommerce Summit 2020 previews panel on Amazon’s expansion into Sweden

The Premier Forum for Digital Commerce in the Nordic region has released a sneak peak of confirmed speakers for an exciting panel consisting of Amazon’s former Head of Payments Expansion in the Nordics Anil Bains, Miss Mary of Sweden CEO Elisabet Sandström, and more. Tickets for the event are free but limited on a first come, first serve basis.

With a global pandemic shutting down physical stores across the globe, the speed at which the retail industry has moved toward an ecommerce-first mindset has been greatly accelerated. The Nordic Ecommerce Summit, too, has been thrusted into a digital-first approach. With the virtual event just over a month out, the leading Nordic ecommerce event is teasing the first of many exclusive sessions guests will be able to attend.

The session in question is set to be a panel discussion surrounding Amazon’s long-awaited entrance into the Nordic market. With participants who range from an ex-Amazon expansion leader to CEOs of direct Amazon competitors in other markets, the panel is surely going to be a highlight of the day. The full panel lineup includes:

Anil Bains, former Head of Payments Expansion Nordics, Amazon

Jethro Marks, Co-founder of theNile.com.au

Fredrik Norberg, Founder and CEO of Fyndiq

Elisabet Sandström, CEO of Miss Mary of Sweden

Havard Stjernen, General Manager Nordics, Wish

Moderator: Kate Ireland, Venture Partner at Sprints Capital

On top of this panel discussion around Amazon’s entrance into the market, the event’s organizers are promising a full day of keynote speakers, fireside chats, breakout sessions, virtual networking and more. They are saying to expect the programming to fit within their overarching theme of how ecommerce leaders are handling five years of growth happening over six months with specifics about the Nordic and European markets (and relevant events happening within those markets).

Additional event speakers will be announced in the coming weeks, and tickets are free but limited. So, make sure you rush over to the event’s registration page to secure your and your team’s spots today.
The Nordic Ecommerce Summit will take place on 13 October 2020 in virtual format. For more information about the Nordic Ecommerce Summit—including partners, partnership enquiries and ticket availability — visit https://nordicecommercesummit.se.
